Kolbe has been a licensed Texas real estate broker for twenty years. He has eighteen years of corporate commercial real estate experience, working primarily in the Fort Bend, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and Corpus Christi markets. He spent eleven years with Weingarten Realty Investors, a NYSE real estate investment trust (REIT). He has worked directly with a large number of national retail chain stores, office tenants, and restaurants. Kolbe is familiar with all aspects of commercial real estate including retail, medical, office, and industrial. He has experience in leasing, site location, contract negotiation, brokerage, land use analysis, lease vs. purchase analysis, loan analysis, development, and construction. Kolbe is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS), and is a member of the Houston Board of Realtors, the Fort Bend Board of Realtors, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Commercial Real Estate Institute, and the Ft. Bend Chamber of Commerce. Recent service includes serving as a director on the board of the Houston Gulf Coast Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Chapter, serving on the First Colony Community Service Association Compliance Committee, and serving on the Economic Development Committee of the Richmond/Rosenberg Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the board of the recently formed Ft. Bend Society of Commercial Brokers. Kolbe lives in Sugar Land with his wife Gwen and daughter Mallory. He is active in the community, serving on the Board of Trustees of Christ United Methodist Church in Sugar Land, the advisory board of Sweetwater Country Club, and the boards of various charitable fund raising events.
